Inspired by Pinterest

Pinterest is one of my favorite websites.  I have been obsessing pinning for several months now.  I have made a couple of small projects and found the perfect paint color for my bathroom.  I think it time to move more pins from MAKE to MADE.

Our living rooms lampshades need some sprucing up.  Here are a few options I am thinking about:

National Blogger Month

November is National Blogger Month. My goal is to post a little something everyday.  Hopefully this will help me maintain a regular schedule going forward.

Big Boy Shovel

We received 17" of snow between Friday night and Saturday evening.  We usually plow with the skidsteer but that just wasn't cutting it so the Hubby took out the backhoe to move piles.  Between the skidsteer and the backhoe it "only" took 10 hours to clear the driveways.  Never thought we would be "plowing" snow with a backhoe.

And I keep reminding myself that winter has just begun...And then I go pour a glass of wine.

Rain

5+" of rain overnight. Not sure how much exactly since the rain gauge was over flowing. The creek on our property was up 12' when I left for work and has now come up another 2' in 2 hours. And it is still raining...

Fall TV

I love this show and am so happy it is back for another season. I have been watching the reruns all summer and ready for the episodes.

Is there anything better...

than spending a rainy Labor day curled up on the couch reading with candles flickering, beef barley soup simmering in the crock pot and fresh-baked bread cooling on the counter?

Fall is in the Air!

Just a short post to kick things off. After weeks of temps in the 90's with 60-70% humidity the weather has finally started to cool off. I have been in the kitchen almost every night this week canning. And loving it. This year is the first time I have canned. I usually freeze everything but canning is easy. I will definitely be doing more of it.
